The CCM QuickLite QLT 290 Hockey Shoulder Pads has a lightweight EVA foam base layer with vents in the back panel and featuring VentShield in the front. This combination of protective foams and engineered vented plastic keeps players mobile and well covered with a comfortable fit around the upper body. Additionally, both the front and back panels use elastic straps to attach the sternum and spine guards for an enhanced range of motion.

These protective spine and sternum guards are constructed of a molded PE that's anatomically shaped for ideal performance. The upper portion is fully covered by molded PE caps topped with EVA foams on top providing overlapping protection for the collar, clavicle, shoulder and upper arm. While the design is highly protective, the QuickLite 290 uses the overlap in combination with elastic straps to maintain a great range of motion. 

The CCM QLT 290 features Dryfoam technology throughout the pad. This closed cell foam construction reduces the amount of sweat that is absorbed, keeping players as light as possible.
