CCM used a number of different elements in order to reduce weight and bulk while maintaining NHL caliber protection. Exposed high-density foam offers incredible slash and shot protection while JDP Technology built into the elbow cap provides some of the best impact protection on the market. This CCM exclusive technology disperses heavy impact energy taken from surfaces or other players into the surrounding foam, keeping the elbow joint a lot safer.

The FT4 Pro's liner used CCM's DryFoam Technology to keep players light all-game long by absorbing less sweat. Finally, a refined middle lock strap helps keep protection secured around the arm while enhancing comfort and maintaining player mobility.
