CCM's exclusive JDP Technology is found in the knee cap, which disperses high impact energy away from the joint and into the surrounding foams. Molded EVA foam then makes an appearance in key impact areas like the thigh guard, calf guard, and knee wing. This closed-cell foam offers elite-level protection while helping to reduce weight.

Players of all calf sizes can truly dial in their fit with the length adjustable calf strap. Attached with Velcro to the shell's liner, players can quickly and easily adjust the strap to obtain a customized fit. Speaking of the liner, the FT485 has a soft moisture-wicking liner that has extra PE foam for added cushion.
